Episode 14 finds the staff of 433Eros being slowly surrounded by the fascinating forces of celestial darkness. It's not as if we feel threatened, but we, in our orbit here, have received signals of a somewhat malevolent origin. This isn't to say that there are not plenty of rays of sunshine that reach us. I am only saying that we have been touched by tentacles that may not have humanity's best interests in mind.
In the words of Mr. Spok:
"Fascinating is a word I use for the unexpected, in this case I would think interesting would suffice.”
