@Ummagma's Kiev Re-Mixes is AOK, Offers Variety & Is Full of Unique, Well Conceived Production.

Hello, Darlings and good evening. I, like many of my contemporaries, look slightly askance at something with remix in its title. Trying to improve on a good thing is not always such a groovy idea. I can recall many times when a remix desperately over thinks itself.
There are several examples of when it all gets FUBAR or just IDKWTFYTYADBIB (I-dont-know-what-the-fuck-you-think-your-are-doing-but-It-Blows,) but In the case of Ummagma's Kiev Remixes, it's AOK. I will be frank., many of the re-imagined versions of Ummagma's already well constructed 'Kiev' are crafted by some heavy hitters. As per station policy, I won't name drop, but talent and pedigree abound. What makes an effort like this appealing to an observer like myself  is the variety of genres represented. The Tracks range from nu-disco, chill lounge to break beat opuses and many have groovable qualities that would appeal to much of the club set. As we of 433Eros fail never to over turn any stone,  I've personally noted that The Haioka remix is particularly soothing; blossoming into a zenith bending crescendo, while sticking more to its shoegaze roots. Sounds of Sputnik's remix follows a similar tract, managing to avoid the trap of the sometimes wallflower-ish shoegazer idiom by dipping a toe into the more active confines of a late night chill-out beat.
